James Delingpole is an English writer, journalist, and columnist for a number of publications, including the Daily Mail, Daily Express, The Times, The Daily Telegraph, and The Spectator joins Jeremy Vine to tell his story and listen to others calling the show about living with Lyme Disease.
A powerful and emotive interview - open your eyes UK Government! Starts at around 1hr and 9 mins
Yes indeed! It’s definitely a test that should be done before other diagnoses are made. However UK tier testing sometimes have false negatives as James Delingpole stated therefore this tiered system here in the UK needs to be improved , adding CD57 would be a good start.
If you have any reason to think you actually may have Lyme Disease do ask your GP for a test or you can pay to get tested in Germany (as they mention better at testing over there) . It costs around £300 but the biggest problem is the NHS don’t recognise the results as not from a registered laboratory in the UK.
This subject also needs a parliamentary debate and they need to address the increased prevalence of Lyme Disease possibly due to environmental changes. Hope it gets one sooner rather than later....
