I had an mri on 19dec.results came back 3 weeks later and that was over Christmas. I would give your dr a ring to chase it up as they can fax it over

Yes keep on at them. Unless they have a backlog? .but 6 weeks is a long time. 🙄. Good luck. .Linda

Hey Millie, I got my Mri results! A mixture of good & bad! The fat round my liver has gone from Servere to mild :) & the adomas are unchanged! The bad news, I have early chrrioss :( My GP said losing weight will slow down the chrrioss & hopefully stop further damage :) I have lost Just over a stone! I am cross that I was not told I had fibross That has now gone to chrrioss! My consultant never told me how serious things where! He is quite dissmissive! See how I get on when I see in June! I might ask to see someone else! Weeks of anxity now! He always does this orders my yearly MRI & then weeks sometimes months before I have follow up with him! I have to get GP to interpet the results for me! they don"t mind but comment that consulant should expain & it wasn"t really there job to do so! I do Agree with them! GP is lovely very kind & supotrtive :) Got normal bloods at the end of May. Thanks for your support :) I don"t get much from family! it means alot to have support here! I will always return support to others :)

Hi abby, well thats great news! .i know ors a set back and i bet you are worried.. but this has been caught early hun.

You can stop this going any further by carrying on doing what your doing

I have had cirrhosis 10yrs now, i had to push my dr to send me to a liver consultant, when i had my first appt last feb i had a fibroscan. It was well.in to the red and no 27 !! Talk about shocked!! .😐. Im now end stage f4 fibrosis.

If i had not asked to see a hepatologist i would be non the wiser and all my symptoms i get now would have been put down to other things i bet ! . Great that you have a supporting dr. Im having to change mine now as i have moved out if the area, my liver dr is fab at the QE hospital, they are always up front with everything, im due to go next Tuesday.

Well done on the weight loss !!.. Good nutrition is the key, low salt diet, lots if fresh veg , and good source of protein, lay off the alcohol if you drink.. any time you need to chat just private message me .. xxx

I share you frustration and your problem. My sister dealt with privately, went to the imaging centre for her mri, left wth the cd, straight to the consultant, 10 minute wait for him to study the scan, consultation and full discussion. Done and dusted in an hour and a half. The problem with nhs is poor administration. Oh, and she and her gp had the report 3 days later. I waited 8 months for a cardiology appointment, rapid (2 weeks) mri and ct but now 5 weeks on nothing and no response to my dr's requests for results.
