I'm worried to say the least

Hi All,I'm new on this forum and I put a post on yesterday without much information.

Well over the past 4-6weeks I've been sent for quite a few blood tests,me never thinking to ask why. So I thought if I put the results of the last two,you folks may have a better idea than me,if they are good alright or bad. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis so I take a quite potent tablet for that,besides other medications I take.

Right : February 9th LFT- (SK18)- abnormal contact patient. Serum total bilirubin level. 9. umol/l. 5.00-26.00umol/l. Serum alkaline phosphatase 231 lu/l. 30.00 -130.00lU/l. Serum ALT level. 17. lU/l. <56. 00lU/l. PROTEIN ( SERUM). 68 g/l. 60.00-80.00g/l. Serum albumin 38. g/l. 30.00-45.00g/l. Serum globulin. 30. g/l. 23-41.00g/l

Now: 21febuary. LFT -(SY) -Abnormal contact patient. Serum total bilirubin level. Same. Serum alkaline phosphatase 212. lU/l. Same. Serum ALT level. 18 lU/l. Same. PROTEIN ( SERUM). 68 g/l. Same. Both albumin and globulin same as February 9th.

I don't know if anyone can read these results,but anyone that can,I would be grateful.

Sadly Gemini71 no one is able to give ideas as to diagnosis based on blood test results here. You will need to seek explanation from your doctor.

However, from what I can deduce from what you've posted it seems to be just your ALP level which is out with guideline limits? ALP is an enzyme found in both the liver and bones so normally they need to do further tests to establish the cause of this elevation. You liver inflammation markers look in normal range (ALT in particular).

I know that some RA drugs can cause spikes in liver enzymes - there is currently a lady on the British Liver Trust website forum who has RA and elevated liver enzymes and as she already has one auto-immune condition is also being assessed to see if she has auto-immune liver disease too. Yours looks to be an elevation of ALP only which can be liver related but can also be bone related. It looks like you'll need some follow up tests to find out where this issue is arising.

Sorry you are so worried just now, make sure you take a list of questions with you when you see doctors and make sure they answer them. No good leaving a consultation and going away wondering. Ask, ask, ask.

Thank you so much,although you can't read my blood tests,you've been a great help,because I now have some idea of the problem.

I've come off a Osteoperosis drug that did not agree with me,and I've got to wait until March before I get it sorted,so I think it's to do with the Osteoperosis and the Rheumatoid Arthritis ,so bloods and bones.

I see my GP next Wednesday so I now have a few questions I want answering. Thank you 🤞

Definitely would appear to be bone related over liver. Hope you get it sorted.
