Hello

Hi lemondrizzle69, just popped up to say hi, I also had a liver transplant, the 25th of September 2015, the reason for transplant was pbc, when was you're transplant and how are you feeling , hope you are doing well πΈ
Hello, yes thanks doing well at the mo, you? Spookily I had my transplant on the 25 last year- December. My transplant was due to cirrhosis so very different reason from yourself but I haven't had anyone to talk to about the whole process and was wondering about support groups. After contacting the liver trust and other organisations there only appears to be online forums so please forgive my vanity in saying hi to you. Do you use any other sites? Thank u
Hello again, glad to hear you are doing well, was it just a few weeks ago you had you're transplant if so I assume you are still being very closely monitored by your transplant centre, most support groups I am aware of are online I think it may depend where you live but there is not much in my area, i am always happy to chat if you need it feel free to private message if you wish, I know how hard it is mentally not to mention physically coping with transplant but it does get easier with time, take care of yourself π
A belated reply !!!
Thank you for your kind words
My Transplant was 2015 so a full year now and after a dodgy 6mts things are calming down.
So now I'm feeling stronger mentally and physically I'm now reflecting on the whole saga, which you just deal with and go along with at the time but now on reflection i think - holy fcuk have I just survived that.
I have days of guilt with what I've done to myself, friends and family, days of the 'poor me' and days of the 'actually I've survived this so I must be a better person'
Hard core eh ??
I'm also Jose in the right frame of mind to write my thank you letter? Did you do one?
There are loads of Facebook sites if you use Facebook. Some very specific , some friendly and not so friendly . Give them a try , worth a shit . Yo may be able to give others advice too.
Hi also just joined the site for advice, etc, I am currently on the liver transplant list since Nov 2016, have been through the per transplant assessment at Kings College London. Hope you are felling well? Overall how have you been doing since your transplant?
Hey chrisymck
Nice to hear from you. I'm good at the mo thanks, my first 6mths of recovery were a breeze but the last 6 have been in out out of hosp due to infections and kidney problems, but all seems to be under control now
How are you feeling about things at the mo? I can imagine exactly how you are feeling, tho every one is different. Give me a shout if I can alleviate any fears. I had 3 false alarms before finally getting to theatre so don't panic if you experience that it'll all come good in the end and a whole new life will restart.
Good luck x
