Could regular swimming in the sea help stop Lipoedema?

Just a thought but swimming regularly in the cold sea (perhaps followed by a warm sauna on the beach) might help circulation, etc. Many older people do this in Germany and swear by the health benefits. Could this be promoted in the UK? Some people seem to be trying it out in Brighton.

Whatever you do, do it because it makes you healthier, stronger and happier. I am not a health professional, but I have lived with this condition all my life without knowing. Loving self care will contain the effects of the condition, but it won't go away. I can hike mountains and run half marathons, I grew up swimming in the open sea, I do yoga, I do weight training. I am very active and strong for my age and the lipodema always stayed, no matter what. As I mentioned before, in psychological terms, the idea that we have a function on the survival of the human race, as insurance, as females capable of surviving a famine and take a pregnancy to term in those circumstances, comforted me greatly. I look good when dressed, I love my resilient body when undressed. Based on my experience, If the way it looks makes you very unhappy, you might consider surgery. Otherwise, anti inflammatory diet, dry brushing, sleep, massage, physical activities you enjoy and kindness to yourself. Do not do anything that feels like punishment. Follow your instinct.
