Happy thursday all,
Today is World Mental Health Day.
A blood cancer diagnosis can take its toll not just on your body, but on your mind too.
Here at LC, we have a number of resources to support you:
- Our nurse-led helpline is open for anybody affected by a blood cancer diagnosis. To understanding what a consultant has told us, for support with caring for a loved one - our nurse and support staff are happy to talk. The line is open Monday - Friday 9am until 5pm and we have a special evening service on a Thursday and Friday 7pm - 10pm. The number is freephone 08088 010 444
- Our Ann Ashley Leukaemia Counselling Fund provides access to private counselling services through the provision of grants, so that leukaemia patients and their loved ones can get the emotional and psychological support they need. The application form can be found on our website here: leukaemiacare.org.uk/suppor...
- The emotional impact of a blood cancer is an information document that we produce that talks about the emotions of diagnosis. You can read a copy online here: media.leukaemiacare.org.uk/...
