Hello everyone, im new to this site. I was diagnosed with ET a month ago. Started taking hydroxycarbamide, but unfortunately it did not agree with me, my consultant took me off them 2 weeks ago and i am seeing consultant this thursday to start another medication . Is it normal to feel so exhausted.

Hello. What bad luck, but my GP said there are alternatives, so good luck with the consultant. Are you clear about the questions you want to ask? It is early days yet. I, too, have ET, diagnosed c. a year and a half ago.
Hello, how are you doing, what medication are you on? How did you find out you had ET? Seen consultant today, his started me on Anagrelide and aspirin, taking anagrelide first and in 4 days start aspirin, that way he said if one doesn't agree with me he'll know. Going back in 3 weeks time
Hi linphy
You might find if you join and post your question on the ' mpn voice ' health unlocked site you will get a lot more answers and support. Mpn voice is specifically for sufferers of ET, PV and MF.
Best regards

Linphy, I am on Hydroxycarbamide and aspirin (+ blood pressure pills) and am fortunate that they all seem to be working well. Regular blood tests but haven't seen a doctor for a year. I feel better than I have done for years; seems I had ET for a long time before it was diagnosed after blood tests following what they are now saying ( but didn't for 5 years+) was a TIA.
I hope the new drug is working for you.
