My husband suffers from chronic migraine. He started on LDN at the end of last year and it seemed that it was being very effective, just the odd off day. Fantastic. Then, a couple of months ago, the regular migraines, followed by a 'hangover period' of up to a week have come back. Obviously very disappointing as we thought we had at last found something to help after trying various preventative meds without any luck.
Has anyone else had this experience of a short-term gain? He is taking the maximum low dose.
I have read a couple of mentions on the LDN website of this problem and suggestions that the dose could be temporarily stopped or reduced. However our prescriber doesn't think this would be useful.

The pharmacist I see for my LDN script said once you find your dose, it should work and stay working. I doubt there is enough research on each condition we think LDN can help so I doubt it is a 100% true for all conditions. I have only been on it for two months, but has allowed me to lower immunosuppressive meds (which just stink to take). I do wonder if or when the LDN may not work and I need to go back to the toxic injections. OYE!
