Another cracker alternative, slice a cucumber (or courgette) on the diagonal, and top with tasty spreads. πŸ˜‹

I will slice it thinner next time.

Back when we had a restaurant, we used to actually serve these quite regularly as part of our catering package. They were surprisingly popular even for people who wouldn't normally be interested in low-carb.

That looks great. I love cucumber with a bit of vinegar or cut into sticks with sour cream and chopped chives.

What toppings do you have on them?

Guess the toppings......... Cheese? Baba Ganoush (aubergine)? olive tapenade? and.... hmm red pepper sauce of some kind or tomato pesto?

You can't beat cheese and cucumber!!!! I like smoked salt on cucumber as a beach snack. I also like cream cheese mixed with a little bit of peanut butter as a topping.

Cream cheese and peanut butter sounds delicious.

Lidl have an Italian festival going on, so the toppings are tapenade and 'nduja from lidl, a cheese from the Turkish supermarket and a mix of avocado and marie rose sauce.

Love nduja! Bit disappointed with my own guessing skills though πŸ˜€

You did pretty good. Nduja is pretty uncommon (you heard hoof beats, and you didn't think zebra) and what hope would have in recognising a pink coloured avocado and mayonnaise, which is not a dish that exists outside this plate.

If I had done a bit more detective work before making my guesses I might have realised that perhaps you had some marie rose sauce to use up from your retro dinner the other evening πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈThanks for sharing. I'm going to look out for some Nduja.

If you are in the UK, Lidl has it this week, and Waitrose sells it all the time..

Both have dextrose, so it depends on how pure you are. πŸ˜‡

Thicker the better for me, though it does go further if you slice it thinner, she says, stating the obvious, lol. As a side note, for those who might be having a bit of a blockage in the bowel department, cucumber's quite good for that.
