protein in urine?

I was told by a dr on monday that I have protein in my urine. does this mean I have kidney problems?

told my dr today (20th)-no response other than do oyu have leakage?yes.so arrnaged blood tests fro bladder.

Please check up Serum Creatinine and Urea. That will help to ascertain.
