Hi everyone. New to this site. Wondering if anyone has experience seeking disability because of ITP?

I can’t answer your question because on a personal level I have never considered myself to have a disability because of my ITP. I would be very surprised if it were deemed to be a disability. It would be interesting to hear the view of other ITPers.

ITP is NOT classified as a disability. It is a query that we get quite often, but here in the UK it is not a disability.

In the US, if one has been hospitalized for ITP, it is considered a disability.

That is interesting. Thank you for informing us.

You can apply for social security disability if you have ITP And you have suffered a hemorrhage because of it.

Not what you're looking for?
