How long does normally steroid induced insomnia last after coming of steroid. .

nearly 6 week off steriod though I can say previously I couldnt sleep without takING sleep medicine but now I can at least sleep 4 or 4 and half hours or somedays more ..still get vivid dreams ..is it only becz steroid affect is not completely vanished

When I came off my steroids my consultant said the effects could last a couple of years.

Yes at least a year. I still get hand tremors when i am very tired and i stopped taking steroids about four years ago.

Which medicine worked for you n are you currently without med and on remission..

I tried seven different treatments including splenectomy and am now taking mycophenolate which has stabilised my condition.

ooh OK. .it this is also causing insomnia or bad side effects
