Hi Salmagal I take fish oil capsules every day. My last count was the highest it has been in over two years. Nicky

I don't like to disagree with NickyD; she usually has excellent, compassionate advice. However, my haematologist told me to avoid fish oil because it can thin the blood, and my count has been stable for over a year now. I think you need to wait until several more people weigh in, and then see how the majority votes! : )

Good luck!

I have been advised by my hematologist not to take a supplement of fish oil. I take a supplement of hyaluronic acid and chrondrotin sulfate. Drink a lot of water to stay hydrated. and just as a tip----I also drink a kale smoothie every day. The kale seems to help with platelet production----for me anyway. Think healthy!!

I cannot speak to your situation, since it is something for your doctor to decide, but I can tell you that my hematologist told me to stop taking fish oil tablets, since they can thin the blood. I had been taking fish oil tablets for years, and so was disappointed that I had to stop.
