I have had chronic ITP for 10 years I was wondering if it would be safe to have a tongue piercing? since there is many veins in the tongue?

Quite honestly Why would you? There are many veins in the tongue and nobody is going to see it but you. I urge you to think again.

I would think this would be very foolish - I have a count around 65 with the help of Nplate and if I cut myself shaving it can take most of the day to stop bleeding. Deliberately inflicting a wound on myself would not be high on my list of things to do!

I can't answer your question, but I do know the tongue heals faster than any other bit of the body. And you can do what you like (but take the consequences).
