One of our group members discharged home Dec 2019 and needed oxygen support - with proper respiratory physiotherapy she is no longer reliant - it takes time with everything and, for sure, nothing is guaranteed. This link might shed some light
Hi. I had Covid last year and was on a ventilator and sedated for a similar time as you. After I was taken off the ventilator I could breath without any assistance and xrays showed that my lungs were ok. I did have 4 weeks in a community hospital and then 4 weeks in a carehome before returning home. In that 8 weeks I was given physio to make me mobile and independent, but also to improve my breathing. I still suffer fatigue after 6 months, but my breathing has more or less returned to normal. I still use a srick when out to assist my balance when walking. I hope you improve soon. I have had follow up xrays since leaving care organised by my gp to check my lungs and they were still clear.
