Could you have slipped a disk slightly and therefore getting radiating pain and numbness because of catching a sciatic nerve. Last time I had that problem, that was the cause.

Thanks - yes that's possible -wouldnt that be more painful though ? I was wondering whether it could be down to APS or something more 'structural'. Hopefully I can see a physio today - more faith in them than GP !

Yes, a good idea to look at that, and rule out a pinched nerve also etc etc. Mary F x

When I did mine it was just a mild pain in the lower back, and a "strange" achy feeling in my leg with a numbness on the skin layer of my thigh when I ran along it with my fingernails. It was like that for several weeks.

It actually to worse when I rolled over in bed one night and couldn't walk for a week.

Hope you get it sorted out soon.

Hello there,

I've been in physio over the last six months or so for the same thing! I've always known that I have hypermobility in quite a few joints but never knew that my spine is also hypermobile until the physio told me! She has scored me at 7/9 for hypermobility :-0

It seems like my leg and back problems are being caused by this as the vertebrae are moving in a shearing type motion.

Maybe you should ask your physio about this when you get to see them?

Good luck with it all!!
