Hi Moonbug
I'm not sure what you are asking, what is "d diner positive"?
I have had lots of TIAs and have converted from Warfarin to Fragmin and this has helped.
Best wishes.
Dave
The d dimer test can be inaccurate if you are already on some form of anti coagulation. This was discussed in some detail on the APLSUK some time ago I have since confirmed this with an A and E consultant. My experience was that my d dimer tests were negative and doctors were therefore very comvinced I could not have a clotting problem. It was only much later that I learned that the fact that I was on aspirin and later on both warfarin and heparin when the tests were done could explain the test resullts.
I don't know what your circumstances are but if you are having symptoms like TIAs and the d dimer is negative. It is important to continue to get further help 0if you have a specialist in Hughes syndrome they will be abke to advise you. Let us know how you get on Best wishes Ann
