how do i get a referral or appointment at st thomas plz ppl

HI there, if you have a diagnosis or simple diagnosis, it should be as simple as asking your GP to refer you. It took me ten years... and I used to be there, when living in London, however my case compounded by the fact that like many I am seronegative. Your GP or team may wish for names. There is plenty of info on here. Several names. If you want more detail PM me x M x

I asked my Haematologist to. I am not a expert, but I think anyone can ask for a second opinion.

try asking them, perhaps they can tell you or your doctor if there is a specific test that would mean you would get a referral... otherwise it's down to your GP so ask, take info with you if you don't think it will be that straight forward.

Apparently there is an excellent doctor at Pontypridd called Ceril Rhys Dillon: vale-healthcare.com/rheumat.... A couple of patients have rung up to sing her praises after another patient mentioned her on this website. I think you would have more chance of getting a referral to her as it will have to go through the Welsh Medical Committee, and they will be unlikely to want to refer out of Wales.

I only know this because my parents live near you and my dad has cancer so at every point in his treatment, we've had to await the decision to the Welsh Medical Committee Dr Dillon sounds very experienced and also patient friendly so I would try her first.
