Does anyone else suffer from bad headaches? I'm finding I am getting them at least twice a day. Maybe it my meds?
Headaches: Does anyone else suffer from... - Hughes Syndrome A...
Headaches
I have had regular headaches for many years but constant migraines, all day, every day for the last two years. And the drs just won't take them seriously.
Near breaking point I started a gluten free diet about 6 weeks ago and the headaches have been much less and bearable. Some days none at all. So if you have tried other things and they haven't worked that might be an option to try.
I have also found that occasionally when my INR was just right they would ease but the GF diet has been the biggest help so far
I have had the same issue the last few years. For me it is also relative to my INR. I can predict my INR from level of headache if it's below 2.7. I am in early mid forties and just got my eyes tested and am getting vari-focals for the first time. The optician said my eyes will have been straining as I needed glasses for near and far sight now and they expect this to also help with headaches. I find exercise, fresh air and lots of water to drink also help a lot. Plus I have a product I wipe on my forehead that I think has menthol/lavender and this helps a tiny bit - it's in most pharmacies without prescription. I like bread.
I too find water and fresh air help. I thought some of my head aches might be due to or worsened by clenching my jaw. Its hard to tell - maybe I clench my jaw when the pain starts or vice versa. I tried to help that by chewing gum, but my chiropractor told me to stop as it was causing more problems. I stopped for four months but I can read better when chewing (yes I know that sounds silly) so I took it back up - the neck pain it apparently makes worse is not as bad as the head pain it helps.
I often get all the symptoms of migraines (nausea, visual stuff etc) without the killer pain, or just a really bad pain. I've only ever had a hand full of real full blown migraines and those of you reading this who suffer with those I'd like to say wow, its amazing anyone copes with them!
