I don't know much bout my Geno type but I went to my appts. Had blood draen, good candidate for Eclupsa & Gilead foundation paid for my medication. I started it on 11/09/2018. I been sleeping hard to point where I don't hear my alarm, 😕 not hungry, I have small patches of rash on my face 😣 & my voice I raspy jus to name a few side effects. Of course it's not been 2 wks but I'll be calling the doctor & pharmacist come monday. Its a start to clearing my hep c. I've made a few changes in lifestyle. Quit the alcohol altogether, watch what I eat & walk everywhere if Its walking distance. It's a start & I kno it will get better as time goes by. It's all about healthy living & how I want to live my life. I met a very understanding gentlemen. We have been together for 6 months now. Supports me through this. For that I'm greatful & thankful. Until next time wk. you all stay blessed & keep your heads up.

Yay! I'm so happy for you. I want to be saying "I'm cured" in a few months also. 😊as for the cigarettes. I'm still working towards quitting, but I've cut down quite a bit. I don't smoke in my apt. I leave them at home when I go out. Work in progress. Stay blessed 🙏

I was given Epclusa for my Hep C which I had unknowingly for 30 years.

There were no noticeable side effects for me at all. This was after my

Liver transplant. I had heard of the nasty side effects of some of the

other Hep C treatments from people I met during my stays in hospital

and was a bit apprehensive about taking the medication but everything

went well. I was tested after completing the course and was found to be clear.

Just had a follow up test after a year (should have been 6 months) and

found no trace of the virus.

This was all post transplant and the virus was causing problems with

my new liver. Everything cleared up after getting shot of Hep C.

I don't think it's widely used because it's so expensive. I think I was lucky

to get it. For me it probably was a lifesaver.
