Still not feeling 100% today, I’ve had chest tightness since 6am and had a dizzy spell just after taking g my daughter to school , I still have the fluttering feeling I’ve had since Thursday , out of curiosity I thought I’d see if watch showed anything (photos below). I had two vaccines last week so now wondering about possible side effects causing symptoms .(, I had pericarditis once back in 2020 and I know that pericarditis or myocarditis can happen ) I have a follow up gp phone appt today . Photo below is the ecg from my watch , on the lowest line where there are two spikes together that’s when I felt a flutter . I don’t rely on the ecg from the watch I just thought I’d see if it did show anything different .

extra beats ?
Your best course of action is a 12 lead ECG which your GP can arrange, especially if you are feeling dizzy or have chest symptoms. I also have an Apple Watch and from what I can tell is that you have an otherwise normal ECG except for the two at the bottom which look like ectopics to me. My consultant told me that the watch isn’t diagnostic as it’s not really an ECG but I’ve found mine very useful for keeping an eye on arrhythmic symptoms. I don’t know if you’ve had a 24h ECG to record your ectopics but that’s something to consider.
Firstly, I wish my heartbeats looked as neat as yours ! I agree with Autumn_Leaves that the extra beats look like simple ectopics. I have a Kardia rather than an Apple Watch and the ecg print out can be very detailed, and you do get an ‘algorithm’ suggestion of possible diagnosis ( although Kardia insist a diagnosis shouldn’t be made from their findings - just to cover themselves ). What does stand out from your post is the mention of chest tightness and dizziness. This ought to be checked out, but it could just be anxiety and tension ( do you often take your granddaughter to school ? Was it an awkward thing to do ? Did you have to rush your morning routine more than usual ? ) The best thing would be to get yourself checked, if only to put your mind at rest so that at least you can rule out anxiety. Let us know how you get on.
I take my daughter to school everyday , we always walk as I don’t drive and it’s only been the last two years that walking up the hill has started to get a bit of a challenge and cause me cardiac symptoms , I have a pacemaker that has helped with reducing the symptoms , I’m waiting on a stress test due to some ongoing symptoms and two breathing test appointments . On the day I did the ecg I hadn’t rushed more than usual and I’ve never experienced these flutters . Still no answers from gp
As you already have a history of cardiac problems then that’s something you need to chase up with your GP, or consultant or arrhythmia nurse if you already have access to that. If it happens again you should go to A&E and there’s always 111 if you need advice as to what you should do next. You need a proper assessment.
