Hi all. I decided to use my kardia this afternoon as my amaz fit watch has been showing OK readings for several weeks. My kardi showing 112 down to 90 then up again. I must have been like this for weeks. My question is as I'm waiting for a CV, been told 4 month wait. Are these sort of heart rates OK or should I speak to cardio again well secretary anyway. Worried now I'm damaging my heart. I feel OK tho. When I go for gentle walks my hr goes 140 plus. I'm on 160 mg verapimil and Apixaban. Sometimes hr feels slow to.

Hi ETHEL103, I think as always, the advice has to be that if you are worried by these readings, you should try to obtain the reassurance of a medical professional. And I don't think it could cause any harm to call cardiology and mention that you are worried and ask if you have any chance of taking a short notice appointment through a cancellation, for example. Tachycardia or fast heart rate is anything over 100bpm, but many people have rates which rise well above this and big fluctuations in bpm are a feature of Afib too. Four months does seem an extraordinarily long time to wait for a cardioversion, even in current circumstances.
