I cannot help as I was started on myself just last week. I'm taking 200mg three times a day.
Good luck Colin_P. I wish the best for your good health. Please advise any time if you should have any side effects. This would be much appreciated. I have been on this drug for 5 months along with other antiarrythmics and so far so good. I am hoping it has solved my VTach issues so life can be more enjoyable. Please be safe and be well.
I'm also taking Amiodarone and a high dose Beta Blocker. I'm about a week in on the Mexilitine and the sides effects are quite bad heartburn or a burning sensation in my stomach and sometimes a bit of a headache.
I hope it settles down as it is better than being shocked by my ICD.
