Choosing the right electro physiologist to carry out your ablation.

I read this article above🔝 and thought it might be important information for anyone considering ablation....it outlines the importance of finding an electro physiologist who specialises in ablation of afib and has a proven track record of success with your particular type of afib. Like all professions , not all ep's are created equally.....when it comes to more difficult cases where triggers are not limited to the pulmonary veins its seems the ep ablation specialist (one who dedicates the lions share of his/her time to afib ablation) is better equipped to explore the heart for other trigger sources should for example there still be problems post isolation of the pulmonary veins and as a result will have a better likelihood of success in the end. It seems obvious but is probably not something everyone is aware of prior to ablation..... you can easily assume that they all know the same as each other and forget some are much more advanced in their knowledge. Take care ✌❤
