I was taken off metoprolol today as I been on it for about 6 months with no improvements. So the dr decided to put me on diltizam 120mg 1x a day. Anybody have experience with diltizam??

Thanks!

Sounds like your doctor took you from a pretty serious arrhythmia drug to a much less dangerous one. I was on the same dose of what you are taking..did nothing we upped it still did nothing. I have pretty chronic PAC’s/PVC’s no signs of underlying heart disease. The ectopic beats are “thought” to be a result of my strenuous physical activity (endurance athlete) I do have a slightly enlarged left ventricle also thought to be a result of my endurance sports..have found no solution except live with it, which can be unnerving at times. Let me know if you find a solution!

I've been taking diltiazem for 4 years now (120 once a day) with much success. I take a second pill if I have an SVT episode that I can't stop and my heart rate goes down in about an hour. My cardiologist recommended that, as my dose is low.
