I've just been diagnosed and told to continue with beta blockers and have it checked again in 12 months. However my symptoms, palpitations, irregular heartbeat, constant dizziness, breathlessness, fatigue and insomnia and probably more, are making everyday life impossible. Has anyone been offered surgery with mild leaky valve but severe symptoms. Thank

Good Morning missdizzy

I haven’t heard of anyone being offered surgery for a mild leaky valve. Your symptoms do sound quite severe certainly but I still think you’ll be pushing a ball up a hill trying to get surgery unless the leak becomes more severe. Maybe speaking with your GP or trying to get another appointment with your cardiologist to get more information. I’m sorry I can’t be more helpful. Take care.
