Hi i had Total hysterectomy and BSO on the 6th June 2019 .Like many of the ladies on here I thought I would wait and see how I felt before deciding on HRT or not .I am 53 years old.The first few months were ok ,plenty of rest and no stress I was feeling I was on the mend. Then pressure to return to work in September due to self employment and everything has gone pear shaped .The Hot flushes ,brain fog ,muscle aches ,vertigo and generally not able to function properly is a nightmare .I can honestly say this is the worst time of my life.Going to see GP on Tuesday with all intention of coming home with HRT patches ..Will let you know when the new woman appears 🙏😆
Wish I had been given HRT straight aft... - Healthy Happy Woman
Wish I had been given HRT straight after my surgery .
Hi. I am 54 and had a hysterectomy and BSO April 2019. A week after surgery my mind and body were completely disrupted. My symptoms caused extreme anxiety and fear. I could not go Hrt because they found uterine cancer 1 b. I didn’t know how I would survive. I tried accupuncture and a psychotherapist. It was a battle to go back to work and stay focused in any situation. I did a lot of research regarding food. I read every ingredient. Sweet potatoes avocado tart cherry juice for sleep. Nuts etc. I am feeling so much better. But it wasn’t easy. I don’t need any medicine anymore either.
I am on bioidentical cream hormones. I was on it before my total hysterectomy, and once I had it, I had to increase my dose for each. Testosterone, estradiol and progesterone.
It saved my life. My doctor tells me to get off them, but I can't. I'm just too miserable without them.
