Does anyone know how long you wait to have a Hysterctomy. Feeling anxious for the big day to arrive.

Hello again Broderskim39

I think it depends on where you live and each health authorities waiting times. You can check this on their website but I think many have an 18 week maximum after seeing consultant. Alternatively you could phone the consultants secretary and ask if they know. Also ask if you could be put on the cancellation list, which may speed things up 😊

From reading your posts I think you've waited quite a while? So it may be worth checking up 😊

I waited an awful long time for orthopaedic surgery last year so understand how frustrating it is πŸ˜• You feel as if your life is on hold πŸ˜• Advice I read on hyster sisters said to focus on eating well, exercising as well as possible and generally keeping in good shape whilst you wait 😊

I see you are getting married next year, so you will want to be fit and well for that, and I'm sure you will be 😊 When do you get married? My friend had key hole surgery, the one where the uterus is removed via the vagina, and she was great after, going out for walks within a few weeks 😊

I'm going down to theatre this afternoon, right now the next 6 hours feels like 6 months!! Lol 😊

Speak soon 😊

Awww thank you hun. Just had another hour sleep then realising I have a meeting at 9. Grrrr. Get you can't wait till it's all over. I was I my told monday about my hysteropomy definitly going ahead as I have been a guinne pig for 6 months to stop everything and see how i was. Felt great on the injections but the pains are back again and feeling so cranky. It's not even been a week yet but need to know. May take a leaf out your book and phone them later. You sound sooo relaxed. Wouldn't think your going down theatre soon. Hope you have no delays x
