Calling All Readers!

This is our January 2021 Reading Rabbits Book Posting. You can post your comments and suggestions about any book/magazine/newspaper that does/doesn't have to do with any medical issues on this posting. You can mention about your favorite authors, as well. This posting will be pinned to the Pinned Posts for easier access.

We are starting a new section for the Reading Rabbits book posting. Each month, I will include a list of books that will hopefully be done in the next few months from now. When the book that I had talked about has been finished, new books will be added to fill its/their spot(s). Here’s the list so far. The books are:

1. I Heart London -- Lindsay Kelk

2. The Search -- Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb

3. The Institute -- Stephen King

4. The Guest List -- Fern Michaels

5. The 6th Target -- James Patterson

6. The Apt Pupil -- Stephen King

7. Mr. Mercedes -- Stephen King

8. Finders Keepers -- Stephen King

9. End of Watch -- Stephen King

10. A Clean Kill – Leslie Glass

11. Weekend Warriors – Fern Michaels

12. Christmas Shopaholic – Sophie Kinsella

13. Crazy House – James Patterson

14. The Colorado Kid (Hard Case

Crimes) – Stephen King

I’ve started reading: β€œ Home Sweet Home”, by Fern Michaels, Donna Kauffman and Melissa Storm. Each author has put their own stories into this one book. It’s an anthology. The first story is written by Fern Michaels ( β€œ Three’s A Crowd”). The second and third stories are:

( β€œ New Beginnings in Blue Hollow Falls”), by Donna Kauffman and (β€œ Bring Me Home”), by Melissa Storm. The entire book is 295 pages.

In β€œ Three’s A Crowd”, Samantha Stewart was working for a TV station as a reporter and had gone to Afghanistan do part of her job. She had a daughter and quit/left her job after being in Italy to give birth to her daughter, Caroline. They both were in Italy for 3 years and then Samantha decided to go back to the States and Florida to see her parents. It’s interesting how sometimes, even some surprises can become lovely things small or big.

I enjoyed this first story very much and was really surprised with how Fern Michaels had the story end. Very sweet and a possible dream come true for anyone making wishes for life changing events to happen in their own lives.

I have been reading, β€œ New Beginnings In Blue Hollow Falls”, by Donna Kauffman. I’m now on Chapter 2; page 122. It’s where Katie MacMillan has come to help her sister who is told by the doctor to have bed rest because she is pregnant and has had some health issues so far. She has a few more months to go before the baby is supposed to be due. So far, everyone in the entire family keeps trying to come and visit their sister and that causes some stress. Katie tells her brothers that also came to visit/help to go home. Some of the members of the family who came to visit aren’t on the same continent, so they came a long way to visit.

While Katie is there, she is told by her sister, Pippa that Declan MacGregor was living in town. This seemed to get Katie a little upset, but wouldn’t let Pippa see that. We’ll see what happens next.

When I finish β€œ Home Sweet Home”, the next book I plan to read will be β€œ I Heart London”, by Lindsay Kelk.

Okay, now to you! Can’t wait to hear about what you’ve been reading lately. Happy readings!

This afternoon I have enjoyed a nice light read of what I did on my holidays by Chrissie Manby and a couple of weeks ago read the murder road which is set in the peak district.

That's fantastic! Way to go! What is the next book to read soon? πŸ˜€πŸ‘πŸŒˆπŸ“–πŸ‡πŸ“š

The Guest List is one of my favorites! I am glad it made it onto your list.

I just finished Racing With Sherman by Christopher McDougall and loved it. Sherman is a burro and this is a true story. I found it to be inspirational in so many ways.

Yesterday l started reading Running Your First ULTRA (Customizable Training for Your First 50K to 100-Mile Race by Krissy Moehl). I am walker not a runner. Krissy's book caught my attention because she was one of the individuals mentioned in the Running With Sherman book. First thing l learned... l need to buy some walking shoes (which my friend has been telling me for years). Granni B

That's fantastic news about the 50K to 100 Mile Race. I enjoy when there's books that inspire us to do something either we enjoy doing already or start something new and different. In some of the books I read, if I see something about a type of decorating idea/project and I know I can do it, then I will try it and see how it turns out. I have some mysteries in my room that are related to art projects and have been wanting to try some of them in the past, but haven't had the chance to do them, yet. May do some of them in the next few weeks/months coming up. :-)

Thats amazing Leah! You manage to cram in so much reading 😁 I will be very interested in your thoughts on a few of your Stephen King titles and James Paterson.

I only have one to share at the moment it is - My Darling by Amanda Robson - I haven't quite finished it but the story so far.......... A couple (Jade and Thomas) move into a posh neighbourhood, living next door is a professional and attractive woman called Emma. Jade straight away is certain her husband thomas is having an affair with Emma. As the story unfolds it jumps back to Jades childhood to help you understand why she believes her husband is cheating on her with various differen't ladies. Thomas was not having an affair but Jade murders him as she believes he is and frames her next door neighbour Emma for it, Emma is arrested and charged, but luckily for Emma she had recently been dating Colin who is a foresensic scientist, he helps to prove she is innocent and Jade gets charged with murder but then Colin starts behaving differently and becoming very persisive and nasty. Collin's previous girlfriend had tried to warn Emma at the beginning of the book but she did not believe her and thats where I am up to so far

Best wishes

Debs

Wow! That sounds like a mystery and romance mixed together in one book! :-) How long is it? When I have a chance, I will have to see when I can see if I can find it out here.

As for my Stephen King and James Patterson books, I definitely will let you and everyone know how everything turns out after I get a chance to start the books. I also have some new books that will be on their way in the next few days next week, but they are by other authors. Will let you know more when they show up. :-)

Oh Fabulous - I can't wait to see them. The book is 384 pages - not too long but so much happens. I love all the twists and turns
