Hi everyone, here's a photo from my local churchyard with the view of the forest in the background, the trees looking ghostly in the early morning light which I think is very apt and fitting for the day as so many gave up their lives in wars, so going but not forgotten or thanked is order of the day. π
I love sitting in churchyards and sat in this one many times during the lockdown and the best bit is I can go home for a cuppa. And the photo is staged as I bought the poppy and left it there when I left.
In Houghton Regis (Bedfordshire) this is how we remember. The hall, behind the poppies, is called the Memorial Hall as inside there is a quiet a large wall plaque naming those lived in Houghton Regis, who lost their lives in both world wars. There is a display is our local parkβs garden too and was hoping to show this here but only one I could show.
