Hi everyone,

Enjoyed my walk today - some cows in the field and also a lovely butterfly. Not sure what the butterfly is called - but it was pretty.

Update: Thanks to Hidden who has let me know that he thinks the butterfly is:

"The butterfly I believe is a gatekeeper or hedge brown, the rings on its wings are like eyes :-)"

There are a lot of brown butterflies here - I too, do not know which species.

My lawn is beginning to look like that! ...it is brown and bare in some places and like a wild-flower meadow in others!

Yes, I think we need some rain! It would do all the gardens and meadows a lot of good. It is soooo hot here today.
