Muddy walk

I had a very invigorating walk today with Lola and Teddi. It’s a miserable day, rainy and blowy but strangely not too cold. I didn’t fancy getting out there today but when I did which is usually the case I felt invigorated and I loved it. Here is a photo of the two rascals having fun! 💦 💦 🐕 🐕

Hi Ali,

It's great that you enjoyed an invigorating walk with Lola and Teddi. Lovely photos!

Thank you Zest. It’s been a fun day 😁

Well done Ali and agree the weather can put you off. Love the photos, they were enjoying themselves.😁

I've not been out walking of late, we've been landscaping the garden, think I've burnt a few calories lol😂😂.

Oh blimey lol. I’m having a rest from it for a few weeks thank goodness. It’s hard work! At least you can enjoy the fruits of your labour when it’s all done! What is it your doing?

I live a challenge lol🤣🤣.

We have removed the whole front lawn which was a fair size, we have a large front and back garden which are both on a slope. We are going to stone the front garden now so I only have to weed rather than cut lots of grass.

We've also marked out and prepped an area for more stone at the back as well, we'll only have a small lawn then. It's all been done by pure hard work as I refused to use weedkilker (hubby suggested weedkilker but I'm not using that awful carcinogenic stuff).

Just got to dig the earth now ready for the membrane and then the stone.😊

Ha that’s a lot of heavy work. Don’t do yourself a mischief. I remember you said before your garden is a bit tricky due to being on a slope. Hope you’re pleased with the results 😁

It certainly was, we finished the turf cutting yesterday and I carried all of the turf round to the back garden. I'll have muscles I forgot I had 🤣🤣. We just need to dig it, prep some of the edges with sleepers lay the membrane and then the stone. It'll be worth the hard work when finished.😀

Urgh you’ll be glad when it done. I helped phil lay a turf a couple of weeks ago and I had to pick 50 wet turfs up off the floor and pass them to him, he takes them off of me like they weigh nothing....All I can say is what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger! It sounds like it will be lovely and low maintenance when it’s all done. 👍😁💪

Yes I certainly will, let's just say the cat has very muddy paws when he comes in🤣.

Picking up wet turfs are heavy and mucky, you should have seen the state of me on Friday lol.

Yes it'll be fab when it's done, no more mowing at the front - result.👍😁
