Bewl water

Today I went for a walk with the lovely Lola to Bewl water which is about 45 mins from where I live. It is a huge reservoir and the largest body of water in the south east of England. I have never been here before so it made a pleasant change of scene. Apparently you can walk all the way round which takes approximately 4 hours, so maybe another day.

It was fairly quiet there with just an occasional walker but it was very cold and incredibly muddy and I wasn’t particularly well prepared for either!

This looks a lovely walk to me Ali, I can see Lola waiting for in you in the large photo, I love how she is looking at you in the house.

I also love photos of when its wet or misty as they are so atmospheric, walking for another 4 hours does sound a lot to me and it would be nicer if you were better prepared and in dry weather. It's cold and wet here as well...☔️

Hi Jerry, yes, should have been better prepared. Unlike me to not be prepared and I forgot my gloves. Lola didn’t care it was so cold she kept jumping in the water. She is zonked out now so mission accomplished 👍

Great place for a walk & muddling through the puddles. Ali, Lola is my kind of dog. I once had a lab that rolled over & over on a dead star fish & galloped in & out of the Pacific Ocean... she happy & stinky on our 2 hour drive home. My boys (2 & 6) held their noses... Ahh Memories! GRANNI B

Lola wasn’t on her best behaviour today. There was a sign up saying dogs are not to go in the water and she never goes in water but she did today. Lola doesn’t like to be told what to do and I didn’t realise she could read! She’s a one. 😁

Zest
