Brainless Call Centres

Does anyone experience frustration with call centre people who are poorly trained and probably on minimum age with no authority or intelligence to think for themselves?

They cause stress and anxiety but sadly that impacts on us.

I may sometimes be mischievious, like this morning where I was getting the run around with a multinational company after they were forty minutes late making a pre determined timed appointment call and then making it on the wrong number to our other phone.

Eventually they questioned which department I had previously spoken to. So in exasperation told them it was the failure department.

The line went on hold for a few minutes before they came back and said they didnt know of this department so who was it there that I spoke to?

Ho ho!

I have just beaten them with my very dry sense of humour🤣🤣🤣

Much like the Caledonia Bank comedy sketch by Flying Pig Productions on the internet. Look it up and smile how Scotland has its own language that we Sassanachs dont understand or can pronounce their words. Of course if you are North of the border like some of my friends, they think it funny at our ignorance too.

it's not easy is it. even worse with automated phone functions that do not understand our request. you made me remember the comedy sketch of scots in a lift with automated voice recognition which didn't understand their accent. it's very funny but has a serious side too about how the scot accent has been bulldozed by automation! must be so annoying. I love that the UK has so many accents but it does make it hard sometimes. I avoid phone calls as much as i can!
