It's been a while

Hi all, it's been a while since I posted anything although I do come on site regularly.

So last Monday I had telephone appointment with neurologist who advised me my last MRI (March) has no further issues but due to the shunt he won't be discharging me from clinic just yet was I OK with this? Yes of course. I'm intrigued with the fact they don't know whether this shunt is actually needed any longer, but would be with me forever as to risky to remove, so I may or may not have issues in future such as blockage or something else that can go wrong with shunts HUH! I suppose prevention is better than cure.

Anyways, Friday of last week, I get a phone call from neurologist secretary asking if I will be attending appointment @ clinc 12th August. I didn't get chance to ask why as I had only had telephone appointment few days previous but the mother was shouting 'who was I talking to' (she's hard work) lol so I said I would be attending & hung up.

So did I get it wrong what neurologist said to me or maybe he wants another selfie 🤣 but at least I get chance to ask him few things I had forgotten when he rang (I'll write it down this time)

Change of subject, my daughter who left for uni last September passed her 1st year in medicine so maybe she can take me as I try my best but seem get most things wrong these days & it'll be good practice for her studies ( she still busy with her head in books) & going to gym, & working part time & putting up with me, she really is amazing.

Well I forgot what this post was about now lol but hope everyone safe & well, ah yes, I'll update you once I had appointment & find out what that's all about & why a shunt may or may not be needed any longer, WOW everything science has/can do but they can't tell if shunt still needed or in use

Later peeps x

Great idea to take your daughter in with you S - I always take someone in with me if I can, and do have a chat with her beforehand when you write down your own list of questions, so that she can help you to get the answers you need. She might have some extra questions too?
