DWP mandatory reassessment successful. Useful information.

Hi after 19 months since initially signing on for UC, 2 assessments and a mandatory reassessment my BI is recognised and I have been found to be incapacitated and don't have to look for work. I can get on with the recovery instead without the stress.

The useful information here is that when they do the assessments they do not assess BI only psychological and physical conditions. My main point when asking for the reassessment was that they had not assessed what I was actually sick for ie Brain injury with the symptoms of cognitive issues, visual processing, body regulation issues and the usual fatigue and memory problems etc. It may be an idea to highlight these issues if you are having problems with the DWP. Say that they don't have a box to tick for BI. It was the assessor that told me to point this out and say there is no box for BI. Good luck.
