Hi everyone

I have posted before as my husband had a cardiac arrest in May 2018 and sustained a hypoxic brain injury. He had a defibrillator fitted in his chest as his ejection fraction was only 32%. I’m corniced as I would like to know life expectancy after what has happened to him.

Dear Bellabear12,

I can't tell you exactly but....I used to know, the first person to have a defibrillator fitted. The man IS still alive, many years later, I have just lost contact.

I hope this helps, a little, anyway.

Hi. My mother had an internal defibrillator and I believe it saved her life many times.

I think the key question here is whatever the condition (s) involved are, you need to discuss these with the relevant doctors if you want to know more.

I hope you find whatever you need to help along the way.
