Brain Scan

Dear Friends,

A few months ago, my Consultant, decided that I should have another Brain Scan. Normally 'Pretty Hopeless', in my case, there is FAR to much, completely DEAD, tissue...So much so that any 'New' damage probably wouldn't show up, but 'Hey Ho'.

It has 'changed', just a little, since last time- probably five years ago- but is essentially the same. Narrow bed, ear plugs (to muffle the noise), 'Stuff' all round your head and, to cap it all off Nicely, a sort of Mask over you too! The scan is Done in four, or five, Stages- each Stage making slightly different noises. (A voice tells you the duration, of each stage.) Overall, this WONDERFUL🙄, procedure takes about twenty minutes, or so.

All that said I was seen, pretty much, On Time- thanks to my, ever patient, Mother for driving me there. We were absolutely 'Dead Lucky', with the weather we had to park, seemingly 'Miles', from the Clinic. When we were, less than, two minutes from the car it started raining- within another four minutes it was P.ssing Down!

So that Folks is how I spent, this afternoon....I just thought that I would Share this, in case, Anybody is 'Due' such a scan.

Thumbs up to you.

I don't like MRI's at all. Pre Head injury they weren't a problem now horrible !

Doesn't help that I have a large shoulders so they have to squash me up. Then with neck damage putting me in an awkward position with the head gear becomes too much
