AT LEAST I TRIED!!!

Since having motorcycle accident (TBI) in 1982 I worked on a Dairy farm then waste paper factory in Norfolk then travelled around UK on motorcycles and cars working in building trade then Dairy farming in Surrey - Dairy farming and warehouses in Northampton. Forklift truck driver and lorry driver in Bradford.Forklift truck driver and postman in Oxford.Then In 2012 had to give up work and return home.I tried so very hard working but everywhere I went I made more mistakes than could be imagined.I have been fired demoted and most definately humiliated.I know for sure that since accident I should never have been allowed to get motorcycle licence back then get a car tractor forklift and high reach fork lift licence.It is hard to count the number of motorcycles and cars I had accidents in/on/ wrote off.I thank God that I never killed anybody.I do not know if it is as easy to get licences now as between 1984 and 2012?If so it is disgraceful.GP here told me it is to dangerous for me to ride cycle in City!!!

I suspect the regulations have tightened up since those days, although strictness levels can differ from one DVLA regional office to another, which is still pretty astonishing.

You're certainly not work-shy my friend, but it'll be a very different lifestyle without your licence, although do-able for many none drivers . Well done for making such a difficult sacrifice for safety reasons ……...and good luck going forward... Cat x
