Today's haul at the Allotment, final crop of year. Lots of Jerusalem artichokes and sorrel. Anyone know any recipes?

Oops, I have to admit I find the taste of sorrel really unpleasant and have never tasted artichokes !

But wanted to applaud you on your harvest James ; there's something of the 'old school' in growing one's own food. My mum grew masses of fruit & veg when we were children. My brother and I were little horrors, hiding behind the trellises and eating the peas raw. (not to mention the strawberries !)

I'm sure you'll find recipes on Google. Good luck & enjoy ! x

Jerusalem artichok is a funny plant unrelated to artichokes or Jerusalem. The tubers grow on the roots. I've yet to taste them

This looks like a simple but delicious method for JAs ; the link seems precarious, but if you Google 'Jerusalem Artichokes/Jamie oliver' it should take you there...........
