sanju more than likely not the brother in law you knew before. the left side of the brain deals with emotion, aggression , mood swings , crying for no reason , inappropriate behaviour / language inside and outside the home.
although this may not happen i recommend you recovery starring david tennant.
need any more more help your in the right place , speak soon

David Tennant is an actor and in the film he is the person who has a brain injury.
It would be wrong for any of us in this forum to offer an opinion as to what is your brother in laws prognosis with recovery as we are not medically trained but people who have either suffered a brain injury ourselves or are caring for someone who has. Your question on this post and on your other post your sister would need to ask of the neurosurgeons caring for him as they have all the medical information about him and the extent of his brain injury. Although as recovery from brain injury is so varied and unpredictable not even the medics would want to predict how he will be in the future. It is a wait and see situation. I note that his date of admission was only in May so I assume that was when he suffered the brain injury. In which case it is very early days yet and brain injury recovery happens over years when it has been as severe as it appears your brother in laws was. It may seem that everything is stagnant because it will be tiny bits of improvement over weeks and months. You and his family need to take each day at a time, and gradually, hopefully you will realize that some small recovery has occurred. It is very early days. Sometimes people with serious brain injuries do have remarkable recoveries although most will always have some difficulties. He will need to rest/sleep a lot as that helps the brain to heal and doing even little things causes considerable fatigue. It is not something that he can recover from in days and weeks. You say that he is not recovering at all but his condition has been considered stable enough for him to be discharged from hospital and acute life saving care and that is a significant step in a positive direction.
Very best wishes to you all.
Hello Sanju and welcome. Your brother-in-law's brain will need many more months to heal and, in the meantime, he will not appear to be improving. But the healing is slow and invisible so he needs to be allowed to rest and sleep for as long as he needs.
His injury was only two months ago so his progress is in the very, very early stages, and you will need to prepare for changes in him which almost always happen as a result of brain trauma.
He might experience memory and/or mobility problems, severe fatigue and other after- effects such as headaches or irritability. It is a case of 'wait and see' after any type of brain injury, but I hope that in the following months you will all adjust to this new and confusing situation and find your way forward to a place of acceptance.
Sincere best wishes, Cat x
Hi again Sanju,
Sorry, I just looked at the discharge sheet you've posted. Cats right, it's very early days. Brain injury can take a really long time to show improvement and recovery is on going. Do you have a community neuro occupational therapist visiting your brother in law? They should be able to offer more advice. I'm sorry, I didn't realise he was at home when I read the previous post.
I also suffered a traumatic brain injury with frontal lobe SAH and Subdural haematoma along with parietal fractures and was pretty much all over the place for many months but am slowly (very slowly) regaining lots of functions. I still have lots of problems but am returning to work very soon. Brain injury and recovery is different in every case, no two people are the same of course. Your brother in law needs lots of support, understanding and and comfort from the family. He will be feeling very fatigued and probably confused by everything.
You can call the Headway Helpline for advice - do give them a call as soon as possible.

Hello Sana, hard to be certain about an individuals prospect, can be determined by treatment. I had exactly the same outlined TBI including 2 week coma & skull operation. My wife is amazed by my recovery but this, in my opinion, was perhaps enhanced by the fact my incident occurred in France. I have also since been very demanding on myself 'getting back to normal' and exercised my brain on a daily basis for over a year. I don't believe it was a big deal for me, there are always people worse off than me. Hope things work out well for your.
Hi Sanju, I thought my brain & I were back to normal within the first year. My wife didn't. My behaviour isn't as good as it was on odd occasions. I do overwork myself physically & mentally. I only live once though so that's why I do it Wish you good luck.
