Yes, very interesting Matt & something I hope we will hear much more about in terms of implementation throughout the general population. I've always been interested in light therapy, especially in the use of it for S.A.D. which is a proven and popular therapy.

Unfortunately we hear evidence of many beneficial therapies which only become available to a fortunate few. And maybe that's the result of our governments spending the necessary funding on none-necessities !

But there's a good chance of this one, being cheap enough to produce, could reach the NHS one day, providing there'd be the funding for the therapists who'd be administering it. xx

As above Cat. I sorted my SAD out myself (GP said NHS wouldn't buy a lightbox, at that time £60 and dit it yourself) by making sure I went outside into sunshine every day, even if only 10 minutes and even if only weak winter sun.

Maybe I grew out of SAD, maybe a coincidence but I was cured. If (at that time far less prescribing of pills - especially those) I'd been given antidepressants and oh by chance gone out more the GP/NHS would have said oh look: the PILLS fixed it, cured.

As I think happens REALLY often. Coz they NEVER take TIME or person's own will/energy (OUR investment) into account. Plus the great old placebo and thinking somebody cares = THAT often works!

Ha ha: wonder why they didn't do a trial on SUNSHINE?! Mega benefits and feel-good (silly 'wellness' term, YUK) factors.

And sea-side, in the old days they said to go there for the ozone, ha ha, that ozone was good for you was a FACT then - am I right: now they say the opposite?

Here in France if you've got money or the right med insurance you can get a 'cure' (often water therapy: thalasso = swimming, hot baths, mud and so on) paid for. Actually it's a holiday. Good loophole huh!

And people who go (and docs/gov here) agree it causes health improvements. But so would a week by the sea (or in the mountains or countryside, ANY holiday) = less cost and no docs' fees and more fun!

Different cultures draw the line on WHAT exactly 'medecine' is. Shamans, spells, religion/prayers and so on = different ways to fix same problems.

I agree with you on sunshine and it's mega benefits. Now, if you read up on Nestlé, the company who make Nescafé and Kit Kats and so on, you will find they are a very evil company who basically want to patent everything that is healthy.

I would love to see them try to patent the sun :).

Why do you think this 'Wellness' term is silly? I think it is brilliant that someone out there is trying to keep everyone well, hence the term 'wellness'.

Years ago they did say it was good to go to the seaside and nowadays they will say it is bad. What 'they' say likely comes from mainstream media, news, newspapers and so on who usually bend the truth.

They'll say not to go to the seaside because of risk of skin cancer. So people put on lotion to protect from skin cancer. According to sources, lotion is the cause of skin cancer.

The aun is obviously natural, most things natural are healthy. Lotion is man made, man is evil. Not exactly referring to particular people.

Bad stuff all revolves around money where the good things, the needed things in life are free, or should be free.
