Mmm???
Give up haha.let someone else have a go.p doing something
H....... Manoeuvre , used when a person is choking on an object?
Another clue. Focus on the letters sliding from the ramp to start with. The ramp is above another word "Ducks" spelled iin reverse. The word "Ducks" might be a bit small, sorry if it is.
I saw the ducks and thought of water off a ducks back as the word is going backwards - but i can't work out the word!
Oh I am really stuck and my last answer was really daft!!! Duck
I don't think it was daft Sem, I can see why you thought of it. I was trying to make a word out of the letters too and hadn't twigged it was part of the alphabet!
I did not twig it was the alphabet too. I am still none the wiser !
The letters from the alphabet are from H throught to O.
Aah so I was I was correct then! H20 = water off a ducks back
Yes Hedgy, you are correct. I didn't want to reveal the answer until I uploaded my next Matt-bat but now the cat isout of the bag, so to speak :).
Letters H-O or H20 are sliding off SKCUD (DUCKS read backwards) or 'ducks back' in other words :).
Sorry to let the cat out of the bag, but it's difficult 'cos if the right answer isn't acknowledged we all go round in circles trying to find another one!
That was a very good one Matt
Thank you :).
I know what you mean about acknowledging the answer but I just thought I won't mention the answer right away and let others have a go first.
It is late - ducking and diving ???? I cannot catch the feather on clue
Ducks slide to 0
Got me stumped
I was thinking as soon as I saw 'DUCKS' sweet and sour crispy duck, no that's not an attempt at the answer just my initial thoughts
Anything 'FOOD' is good.... well almost . Good to be back. Yes had a good Christmas and a busy busy one.
How did your Chrismas go? Hope you've managed to clingon to bro's room or is it now a secure zone with steel doors and combination lock?
Still trying to work out the answer without luck. Is it a local catch phrase to your area? Sort of Oh Heck mr ducks for up north lol. (P.S. To all from up t north... No offence meant just my weird humour).
I agree, food is good :), as long as it is cooked right... If cooked at all that is :).
My Christmas was good. I got happiness, good food and good company. That is what I would mainly want for Christmas :). I still have my bro's old room, he has moved out and taken all his stuff, finally, so now I have the room all to myself. At the moment I have a few things of mine in the room as I am waiting for it to be redecorated and then I can move all my stuff in then. We are knocking the wall out of my old room so my room and bro's old room will be one big rom :). I will use my end of the room as a sort of studio where I can work on my art :). No locks though :).
The answer is not Northern-based.
This laddy is from dan saff (down south in other words :)).
The portion of the alphabet is not just any portion. Focus on the letters :).
Dan saff sound almost cockney my old sparra.
Asking be to focus is like asking me to fly! I'll try but the fall will be hilarious!
Putting two rooms into one sound great... as long as you're not aggraphobic.
Don't think you need to work on your art, seems pretty good to me already! You just need to put more of it out here..... so we can nick it and sell it for a fortune
How's about ducks centre back down! Told you I was mad didn't I?
Still wrong but it was better than Sem's guess "Heimlich manoeuvre" haha. Sorry Sem, not taking the michael but that made me giggle :).
No offence taken :). I was trying to think out of the box, but ended up totally out of the world with the answe duh!
Put it this way then, you may have thought your guess was dim but look at some of the contestants on the show 'Catchphrase' who make the most pathetic answers and they have no BI. I saw Katy Price's poor attempt at Catchphrase the other week. What a spectacle.
I watched the episode of Catchphrase with Katy Price and Christopher Biggins, him scoring less points than Katy Price.
Can you give us another clue please
MY old sparra, don't you mean ME old sparra haha.
I live in the Gosport, it is just East of the city of Portsmouth and it is a crummy little town haha. I have picked up some of the cockney lingo from Eastenders hsha, kidding, mainly from other TV shows. I have a friend in Portsmouth, who I know from my local Headway, who originally comes from London and he said it was amazing how so many people in Portsmouth now speak like cockneys haha.
Are you more northern-based or midlands?
Thanks about my art :).
No sir I'm not a midlander nor a northener, I'm actually a posh gentleman from near Bath, the Lord and Lady of which are nearly my nieghbours don't you know
What's wrong with Gosport? I worked down there for about 3 months helping move the aggregate from the quayside to the munitions store for new blast sheilds around a few munition silos plus when my son joined the Navy he spent 6 month there for initial engineering training and then a further 9 months a couple of years later when he did his promotions board, then I made loads of deliveries of build materials for all the new houses that replaced the old military quarters.......... actually I'm now beginning to see your point lol ;-).
I'm guessing you live in one of those posh multi-million pound apartments over the waterfront.
Ah, in Bath are you. Nice place. My mum and bro like to shop there. I've been once or twice, it's very hilly. I was quite exhausted by the end of the day.
:). Gosport is quite a boring place really and the council are crap. I have complained to them before about a few things and it hasn't been sorted out. My friend hates the coucil too haha.
Posh multi-million apartments over the waterfront! Your joking aren't you haha. B_s_a/Ben is the one who lives near the waterfront. I live more inland, near Frater. My Dad works at Frater amd my aunty used to work at Fleetlands, she has retired now though.
OK Matt, all this chit-chat is lovely, but PLEASE can we have the answer now ??
L O L ! Ey up Sporan -truly love this !As a Lancashire lass I can't say as av ever eard owt like this mesel- happen an Alan Bennett line : )
I heard a joke once and it was after the death of Bin Laden, the feds were trying to track down Robert Mugabe. I think they should star by searching Yorkshire because his name backwards does spell 'E-BA-GUM'.
Sorry about distracting Matt from topic but title is 'Off Topic' LOL
How about 'Upside down and back to front'?
or for angelite .... ows abat uptsaid dan ant back t frunt lol
Or 'ows about, 'ah nah brahn cah haha'.
In English that would be 'How now brown cow'.
Or maybe 'The warta in mejorka don't taste like what it orta'
'The water in Majorca (my-orca) does not taste like what it ought to'.
Or yer it be me babby.
I'm not really a posh gentleman I'm more
Oooh arr my lover watz yooze bin dooin then zir.
Lord and lady Muck zort of livs up thick ther road just past thick chickin shak arh.
Gor blimey mate you bin wachin to much mary poppins so you av guv!
I didn't recognise the new you with that posh bowler hat. Is that the result of the new art studio. Bet you got the black and white stripy 'T' shirt as well
You didn't recognise me from the picture, is that why you called me by my full name in that other post, Matt2584? I bet you were thinking, "I know somebody who has the exact same user name as that" haha.
I don't quite know what the other accents were, I would probably know if I heard them :).
I got the "Oooharr" one though, that is a pirate isn't it haha, kidding, a Cornish farmer :).
At least you don't pay ya leccy bills :).
Or if you said "Top o' the mornin' to ya" or "Potato!" I might know haha.
