How can I get in touch with Headway as I need some advice about my husband who has a mild brain injury?.....so mild people most cannot really see it........yet it has a major effect on our family.

The Headway helpline no. is 0808 800 2244 and the line is manned from 9am-5pm Mon to Fri.

They have a website, their helpline number is 0808 800 2244 and helpline@headway.org.uk, or you can find a local group. 'Mild brain injury', isn't that the understatement of all times? A doctor once said to me 'you don't look like someone with a brain injury' so there is no chance of the general public understanding as we crash through life. I would recommend the Headway help card people are always helpful when I get it out.

That's the thing though *any* brain injury is serious, but some like mine are classed as mild.

My GP was very careful when I saw her to remind myself that mild it may be classed as is still a very serious injury.

Where abouts do u live as ideally u want your local headway group?

the above is good advice

why dont you keep a diary of problems your other half has then discuss with your gp and or headway
