Just to keep everyone in the picture, Widget is, I think, a little stronger in her hind legs. She is still not walking, but is doing her wees by herself. I swim her for roughly three to four minutes each day, and I think that's good for her fitness. It would be great if I could tell you more, but at least she is no worse.
I must say, that I often wonder why I have been given this to deal with, but I am trying my best to stay positive. I have often felt like putting my hands up, and giving up, as it gets too much at times to cope with. Maybe if I wasn't on my own I would feel better? Who knows?

Good news keep ing my fingers crossed for both of you
I'M REALLY GLAD SHE'S PROGRESSING. YOU'VE BEEN DEALT THIS HAND AS YOU ARE THE BEST PERSON TO CARE FOR HER. YOU CARE ABOUT HER & WILL DO ANYTHING TO MAKE HER FEEL SAFE & COMFORTABLE.
I KNOW IT'S DIFFICULT TO DEAL WITH WHEN YOU'RE ON YOUR OWN BUT MY CATS GAVE ME PURPOSE WHEN THEY WERE SERIOUSLY ILL & I HAD TO PUT THEM FIRST.
Caring for another can be a challenge when we have our own issues. But the loyalty we receive from pets is the abiding reward and It sounds like you & your pooches are a great little team.
I remember struggling to care for my beautiful cat after he'd had major surgery (& I was having daily radiotherapy for breast cancer). It was heart-breaking seeing him in so much pain but not allowing me near him to comfort him. Then one evening he crawled onto me, & lay staring at me and purring, and the flood of emotion was pretty overwhelming.
You're clearly a caring owner doing everything possible for Widget's recovery, and I hope (& suspect) that you'll be rewarded with her recovery, and companionship for years to come. xx
So glad to know Widget is progressing. I will update my Facebook group though I think the aeroplane disaster and Israel Palestine situation will have needed prayers etc but I know the animal lovers will still be keen to see Widget back on her feet for her sake and for yours. It is hard to see your animal companions suffer. Harder on your own than with a supportive partner I am sure but not all partners are supportive and helpful.
Please give Widget a gentle stroke from me. Poppet sends feline purrs to you both xx
