in my case i would say i can feel this way if i have overtired myself.maybe this is another thing to red flag to your specialist.having no knowledge of your personal circs i am sure headway would always say anything you are majorly worried about see your specialist.it may be they can reccommend tabs 4 you specifically.good luck let us know how it all goes on sat!

Hi I have found that if I am in any doubt telephone your consultants secretary explain your concerns and ask if she/he can pass this onto your consultant. I have been very fortunate in developing a good relationship whereby my consultants call me back...although it may be a few days to a week, as they have preplanned clinics etc.

If you are unable to get in touch with your consultant and you feel it cannot wait, you could also try telephoning the ward you were on? If you do ask to speak to the ward manager.

Speaking from my own experience of entry to a brain tumour via an opening made in the skull; dizziness fatigue 3 steps forward 4 back wards were the norm.

Again from my experience my surgeon left after care of associated symptoms to specialised physio's.

As SASSYIAM quite rightly said always best to check with your consultant as they will know your condition best.

Good luck

Hi, I've had viral encephalitis that has left me with an acquired brain injury and balance problems, I put up with vertigo for 6 months until the doctor at the rehab unit asked my GP to refer me to an ENT consultant, they checked my ears and found no lasting damage there and did an Eply manouvre (I think that's what it's called) which cured the vertigo, I still have balance issues but no more dizzy drunk feelings, wish it'd happened sooner, nor need to understand my vision problems, still feel like I don't belong in this world, very strange! Good luck x Janet

Hi Janet. What is a Eply Manouvre. I have balance issues and dizziness 8 months after the injury. I have inner ear disfunction due to nerve damage tho. x

Hi Billybb, Check out Epley manoeuvre on web may find it through googling vertigo or BPPV or just Epley manoeuvre, its just a series of movements you put your body through, mainly your head but sitting and lying you may need someone to help you sit up and I had to sleep propped up for 3 nights but worth it to get rid of dizziness, won't do any harm to try and can do it again if you don't get required results Good Luck, I go back to see consultant in June can't wait to thank him x

Just checked it is Epley manouvre and can be done at home if you follow instructions on web, not sure if this is your problem but worth looking at again good luck x

Hi Rachelle, tell me what happened. I think I had a similar injury to you 8 months ago. I blacked out in the kitchen and fractured my skull in two place with bruising to my frontal lobes. I also have balance problems. Check my profile for info and I'll tell you how things have progressed with me. It might help us both. x

Hi rachelle10,

Thank you for your question - I am very sorry to hear about how you are feeling following your

I just wanted to support what our members have already said on this. It is good that you are seeing the neurologist soon, but if you have any doubts in the mean time you should contact the hospital and ask to speak to the consultant's secretary. You can then explain your symptoms and ask for this to be passed on.

Alternatively, if you cannot get through to them, you can contact your GP or NHS Direct to discuss things with them.

Please do let us know how things go,

Best wishes,

Headway.
