In search of men with Graves!

Hello,

My partner was diagnosed with Graves when he was 25. He had a total thyroidectomy and multiple eye surgeries due swelling in his eyes.

He has struggled with his appearance ever since (34 now) as he just want his old eyes back.

Are there any other men in this group that have and advice or would be happy to talk to him about their experience and how they are dealing with it?

He has said he will go to therapy but only if I can find someone that has been through the exact same thing as him...so if anyone knows of any therapists with Graves in the UK thag would be great!

I try to be supportive but im struggling to continue when this cycle keeps coming around!

Hi BunnykzSorry, I've only just seen your message.

Have you or your partner reached out to TEDct?

They have a very active and supportive Facebook group. Its not just for those with active symptoms. Many members are still posting years after remission or surgery
