I am on a lot of pain in my legs, especially my left. I can hardly walk at the moment. Anyone have pain and weakness in their legs ? What helps to relieve pain?

Thank you

Anna

Hey there again ;

Graves can cause all sorts of symptoms, some mild, some debilitating.

Do you now have a copy of your diagnosis detailing which antibodies were positive and over range and your TSH, T3 and T4 numbers and ranges before treatment with the anti thyroid medication ?

Has the AT drug worked, are your symptoms relieved, and have you had a further blood test and can see your T3 and T4 levels dropping and has your AT drug been reduced at all ?

If you go on the Thyroid uk website, who are the charity who support this amazing forum you will find full information on all things thyroid, either hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism as they are both the extreme ends of the same condition and caused by too high or too low a level of T3.

You might also like to dip into the Elaine Moore Graves Foundation website which I found to be the most well rounded, well researched of all the websites I found. Elaine has Graves and has spent the last 20 odd years researching this poorly understood and badly treated AI disease and there are sections on holistic and more alternative options to mainstream medical which many people find helpful when dealing with this disease.
