What tests, if any, did you undergo to confirm Gorlin Syndrome?
From birth to my early twenties, I was forever being prodded, poked and measured by numerous Dr's. and Consultants. In those very early years, just having jaw cysts and two visits to my Clinical Geneticist at the age of 15 was enough to confirm that I was blessed with Gorlin Syndrome.
My diagnosis was confirmed via a blood test when i went for genetic counselling after my first child was born
so there is a blood test
i was told there was not,just by how you looked
and if you has the symtems
Blood test ,OPG ,chest,head XRays when i was seen by geneticist.
simple blood test by the genetic consultant
a Dr/ oral max dds first observed the 4jaw cyst, had 2 b.c.n.s. spots removed, the palmer pits and bifid ribs also visual(only 2 ME!) Had the blood work done and TA-DA I have Gorlin Syndrome.
blood tests confirmed what genetics dr's had guessed after reviewing my sons health history.
