My dad died before I was born but I got his hospital records from his youth. He had a lung removed as a teen because of cysts and it was noted that a rib that was removed to do this was bifid. So it appears to have come from my dad.

I am a new mutation, first Gorlin in my family. There is no family history of Gorlin Syndrome in my family.

My son is the 1st in the family. My husband, our older son & I were all tested & apparently I passed on the gene that mutated.

I am told I am a "New mutation". I have four siblings but I am the only one with GS. One brother and two sisters had bright red hair and fair skin. I have two sons and neither of them inherited the condition Thank God.
